Welcome back.

As far as Angua goes...yes, definitely more about your head :)Philliphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16371115532719775404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641724474785900792.post-1050683276034562442010-09-08T18:05:11.718+01:002010-09-08T18:05:11.718+01:00I actually quite liked it!- but then I always appr...I actually quite liked it!- but then I always approach TV adaptations with low expectations. The story itself was very different, but still enjoyable.

And I must disagree with you about Angua - in my head she's a tanned and buxom strawberry blonde, although this possibly says more about my head than about the adaptation.

Also - hello! I've refound your blog. :)Judihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096430962516327179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641724474785900792.post-82547943722973633882010-09-08T16:54:23.792+01:002010-09-08T16:54:23.792+01:00Hi Phil, right back at you re. commenting :)

I haven't read Going Postal, so perhaps that's why I enjoyed it, but I could tell it was simplified for the masses. I still preferred it to the previous two, though, I felt really let down by them. I loved Dance as Vetinari (A Pratchett-savvy friend said exactly the same thing about the hair) and most of the characters, but thought they had such a problem with the delivery of the humour in the previous shows that this was a big improvement. Hopefully they've used it as a way to get more people into his work, and by the time they do another they can have a better sense of how to deliver Pratchett humour.
(I think it's definitely required that the main cast and director be fans to be able to do this)

Anyway.

I'm also a little over-excited at seeing links to my right to Dan Abnett and Aaron D-B's blogs! Abnett's one of my favourite authors and I'm gradually working my way through as many BL books as I can.
(Haven't actually read anything by AD-B yet, but I have Cadian Blood on my shelf calling to me with all its tempting WH40K-vs-Zombie-movie goodness.)

cheersPhillhttp://sufficeblog.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
